Schools and departments within the College of Engineering hold their annual Honors Convocation each fall during Family Weekend to recognize students who have achieved excellence in undergraduate degree programs for the previous academic year.

Awards of Distinction

The University of Arizona’s Office of the Registrar awards distinctions for the following:

• Highest Academic Distinction to students who meet a 4.0 GPA with 30+ units
• Academic Distinction to students who meet a 3.5 to 3.9 GPA with 30+ units

These distinctions are determined by completed and credited letter grades achieved from summer pre-session through the spring semester. Students must complete a minimum of 12 units each during the regular fall and spring semesters.

Students meeting distinction are invited to the Honors Convocation, regardless of whether they are in the Honors College.
